This policy explains how cancellations, returns and refunds work at Office Ease. If anything here is unclear, ask before you order.
Cancelling an order
You can cancel for a full refund any time before the boxes are collected by the carrier, which is normally 1 to 2 working days after you order. After that the return terms below apply.
30 day returns
Send a piece back within 30 days of delivery and we refund the item price in full. To qualify:
- It must be repacked in the original boxes with the original foam and inserts, so keep them until you are sure. This is the condition people trip on most often.
- It must be unmarked and free of pet hair, smoke and cooking smells.
- Return shipping is charged at our cost, usually $15 to $70 depending on the size. An accessory is at the low end, a 63 in desk at the high end.
- A piece you assembled and then took apart again is fine, provided no fixing holes are stripped and no panel is cracked.
Two year warranty
We warrant the frame, the gas lift, the motor, the castors and the mechanism for two years from delivery. If any of those fail in normal use we send the part or replace the piece.
Separately, we post free replacement bolts, castors, cam locks and gas lifts for the life of the piece, warranty or not, with no receipt needed.
The warranty does not cover:
- Wear to fabric, mesh and foam from normal daily use.
- Marks and dents in a laminated top from everyday use.
- A gas lift used above the stated weight rating. Buying close to the limit shortens its life.
- A desk motor overloaded past its stated rating.
- Damage from over tightening a fixing, or from building the piece out of sequence.
- Damage from moving an assembled desk rather than dismantling it.
- Marked floors from hard castors. Ask for soft rollers before you order and they are free.
How refunds are paid
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 3 working days of the boxes arriving with us. Card refunds usually show within 5 to 10 working days depending on your bank.
